CMAS ONE STAR DIVER COURSE

The CMAS One-Star SCUBA Diver certification, issued by the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS), serves as an entry-level qualification for individuals embarking on their scuba diving journey. While course requirements may vary internationally, at The Divers Club, the program entails the following:

• Eight open-water dives
• Four theory sessions covering fundamental diving concepts
• Practical training on assembling and using scuba equipment

Instruction on essential diving theory and underwater skills is delivered through a combination of video materials, instructor-led presentations, and hands-on practice. These skills are honed under the direct supervision of certified instructors in both confined and open-water environments.

Knowledge and Skills Acquired

Upon completion, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of:

• Scuba equipment operation and maintenance
• Underwater and surface communication techniques
• The principles of pressure-volume relationships
• Diving physics and physiology
• First aid procedures and safe diving practices
• Marine life awareness and the use of decompression tables

Certification Outcomes

A CMAS One-Star certification qualifies divers to explore open waters to a maximum depth of 18 meters, under the supervision of a CMAS Three-Star Diver or an instructor with equivalent credentials.

Eligibility Criteria
