Prerequisites

Before enrolling in the RAID Divemaster course, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

Mandatory Certifications

You must hold the following RAID certifications (or their equivalent from another recognized agency):

  • Open Water 20
  • Nitrox
  • Advanced 35
  • Deep 40
  • First Aid
  • Navigation
  • Master Rescue Diver

Experience Requirements

  • At least 25 hours of in-water experience.
  • A minimum of 60 logged dives, including:
    • 5 hours of diving deeper than 27 meters (90 feet).
    • Training to a maximum depth of 40 meters (130 feet).
  • A valid medical clearance signed by a licensed physician (within the last 12 months).

Recommended Specialty Ratings

While not required, completing two specialty certifications—such as Wreck Diver or Night Diver—can enhance your skill set and align with your professional goals.

  • Supervising and assisting student divers during training sessions.
