RAID DECO 40 COURSE

RAID DECO 40 COURSE

The Entry Into Technical Diving 40m/132ft

Your Gateway to Technical Diving

The RAID Deco 40 Course is your introduction to the world of technical diving, offering recreational divers a structured pathway to explore deeper depths with decompression techniques. Designed as a tech-lite program, it allows divers to experience extended bottom times while prioritizing safety and risk management.

Unlike traditional perceptions of technical diving, the Deco 40 program is accessible to the average diver, removing the myth that it requires extraordinary physical or mental strength. At The Divers Club, we ensure that this program bridges the gap between recreational and technical diving while remaining approachable and practical for all participants.

Why Choose the RAID Deco 40 Course?

  1. Extend Your Limits:
    • Dive deeper, to a maximum of 40 meters (132 feet), and complete dives with up to 10 minutes of planned decompression.
    • Use advanced gas management strategies to optimize your underwater experience.
  2. Recreational Gear Friendly:
    • Unlike traditional technical courses, the Deco 40 program allows divers to use modified recreational equipment, provided it meets certain requirements:
      • A BCD or wing with D-rings for attaching side-slung cylinders.
      • A 2-meter/7-foot primary regulator hose for safe gas sharing.
    • Twinset or sidemount configurations are optional and supported by The Divers Club instructors.
  3. Step into Technical Diving:
    • Ideal for recreational divers ready to advance their skills and explore technical concepts.
    • A perfect first step for divers considering progression to programs like Deco 50 or other technical certifications.
